  • Who: Atulya Mahajan
  • What: “An Open Letter to Arnab Goswami”
  • Tangy: After India’s loss to Australia in the World Cup semi final, news channel Times Now decided to vent its disappointment at the loss with hashtags like #ShamedInSydney, criticising the Indian cricket team for their performance. But the seemingly aggressive tone that the channel took angered cricket fans who stood in support of Dhoni and his men even after the debacle. Atulya Mahajan writes an open letter to Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief and anchor of Times Now.

  • Who: Kumar Gautam
  • What: “This is God Talking”
  • Tangy: Taking offence has become the name of the game now, with more people being insulted or taking up a cause on behalf of God than ever before. It is ironic that we say that God is all powerful, yet we rush to protoect Him (or Her) from imagined offences. Kumar Gautam writes a poem on behalf of God, expressing how this behaviour must be painful for God.

  • Who: Sucheta Thakur
  • What: “How to Survive as Vegetarian On a Roadtrip in India ?”
  • Tangy: Passion for travelling is not based on one’s dietary preferences, but admit it, taking off to exotic locations without worrying about starvation is easier for non-vegetarians than vegetarians. There are chances that you have crossed out some places on your list simply because there aren’t many vegetarian food items available there. Here is a simple guide to taking care of your vegetarian meals while on the move.

  • Who: Kalyan Varma
  • What: “When a Million Turtles Land”
  • Tangy: Orissa’s beaches are the largest nesting grounds for Olive Ridley turtles in the world, and conservation efforts are on to keep their numbers on the rise. Hundreds of wildlife enthusiasts gather around these beaches to see the turtles laying their eggs. This is not just a natural phenomenon, but also makes for a very beautiful scene indeed.

  • Who: Surabhi Chatterjee
  • What: “नाम की लड़ाई”
  • Tangy: Tradition dictates that daughters follow what their mothers tell them without questioning the reason behind it. Some women don’t mind it or think of it as injustice, but a simple questioning of these beliefs will reveal that not only are some rituals cumbersome, but downright unnecessary and unfair.

  • Who: Sonali Gupta
  • What: “Marriage And The Happily Ever After”
  • Tangy: A ‘Happy Ending’ in most movies and stories means the protagonists marrying each other and living a life of marital bliss. This has ingrained the idea in our minds that marrying the person of our dreams will make us happy. But our happiness doesn’t depend on one person or one event, and we should look for happiness on our own rather than searching for it in a partner.

  • Who: Aashish Chandorkar
  • What: “The Future of Indian Digital Wallets”
  • Tangy: Digital wallets don’t enjoy a huge share of the market currently, with online customers preferring to enter and confirm their bank details with each individual online store. But these wallets have quite a lot of potential in them if used properly, and can become a major player in online and offline transactions in a young market like India.
